2019 SPARKLING PINOT GRISMUMM NAPA SPARKLING WINE

Notes of juicy pear and lightly toasted bread give way to hints of melon, apple and nectarine. Crisp acidity greets you on the palate, with bright pear and apple flavors and a touch of minerality. The finish is long and elegant with a note of grilled bread to bring complexity to the fruit.

Pinot Gris is mainly a blending grape, lending stone fruit and melon characters to our Blanc de Blancs blends. It’s rare for us to bottle it on its own, especially since we source so little of it, but in 2019, we had a special batch that we’re excited to be able to share. Fruit for this wine was picked in the crisp morning hours and the juice was fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks to preserve the beautiful fruit intensity. Nearly three years on the yeast brings elegance and complexity. It’s the perfect wine to welcome spring!

This wine is delicious paired with a stir fry of vegetables and shrimp, but would also be a lovely aperitif, giving you the time to appreciate its many layers of fruit.
