About This Wine
Grande Année means great year, and 2013 was indeed a lovely vintage. A warm growing season allowed for the development of beautiful fruit flavors in the grapes, while the cool Napa evenings maintained the bright acidity that is the hallmark of classic sparkling wines. This ideal vintage inspired us to create a special blend bottled only in magnums to showcase the spectacular quality of the “great year.”

Profile
This is a powerful wine that greets with aromas of toasted bread and baking spice from 10 years on the yeast. Notes of plum, cherry, and grilled peaches are accented by hints of Meyer lemon and toasted nuts. The palate is rich and toasty with red apple and cherry leading into the lasting finish.
Occasions & Pairings
A special wine like this calls for a special dish. Go for something less common, like Lobster Thermidor. You can do the prep work ahead so all you need to do is pop it in the oven after your guests arrive. If that’s too much work, this would also be lovely paired with pasta carbonara.
