About This Wine

Devaux Ranch is our estate vineyard in Carneros. It sits on 110 acres of rolling hills and is named for our founding winemaker, Guy Devaux. The vineyard is planted to all four varieties used in Mumm Napa sparkling wines: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Gris. Each year we create a single vineyard blend that expresses the best of that particular vintage. Although the blend is always changing, we aim to let the unique character of the vineyard shine. For the 2019 vintage, we are releasing a rare Reserve Rosé, a true expression of Pinot Noir grown in this special pocket of Carneros.

Profile

Bright raspberry and mandarin notes lead into hints of nectarine and red apple and lovely biscuit tones. The palate opens with flavors of berries and cream and juicy orange. A creamy mid-palate leads into a long finish with notes of freshly baked bread.

Occasions & Pairings

My first thought with this wine was bay shrimp salad on toasted brioche, but it would also be lovely with a savory spring vegetable tart.
