Each year, we create our Brut Reserve Rosé by adding a little bit of red Pinot Noir to the Brut Reserve blend, resulting in a beautiful pink color and a nice pop of red fruit. For this special Extended Tirage release, we held back a batch of Brut Reserve Rosé, allowing it to age on the yeast for more than five years, giving added complexity to the wine. This additional aging contributed lots of rich, toasty aromas and flavors to the wine and also lent an extra layer of creaminess to the mid-palate.

About This Wine

Profile

This wine leads with aromas of bright cherry, ripe strawberry, nectarine, and toasty, grilled bread. On the palate, the soft mousse and creamy mid-palate highlight flavors of cherry, strawberry, and citrus zest leading into along, toasty finish.

Occasions & Pairings

The toastiness of this wine would work really well with anything grilled. Cedar plank salmon comes to mind immediately, but grilled chicken or pork would also pair nicely, as would vegetable skewers. If you want something a little more elegant, seared duck breast would be delicious.
