About This Wine
Each year we honor our founding winemaker, Guy Devaux, with a special blend to highlight the vintage. We have only one rule: the base blend must be 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay. From there, it’s carte blanche for the winemaking team to select the very best vineyard lots that promise a balance between elegance, power, and age-ability. This very special extended tirage release of the 2016 vintage spent 9 years aging on the yeast, lending beautiful toastiness and richness to the blend.

Aromas of toasted brioche and Meyer lemon zest are complemented by notes of nectarine, strawberry, and red apple. On the palate, a refined mousse opens into a creamy mid-palate with accents of citrus and red apple, leading into a long, structured finish.
Occasions & Pairings
This is an excellent choice for holiday festivities and milestone celebrations. I’m planning to pair it with lobster thermidor to ring in the new year!
