2017 Devaux Ranch
Devaux Ranch is our estate vineyard in Carneros. It sits on 110 acres of rolling hills and is named for our founding winemaker, Guy Devaux. The vineyard is planted to all four varieties used in Mumm Napa sparkling wines: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Gris.
Overview
This wine has lovely aromas of green apples, citrus, pear, and biscuit, with a hint of minerality. On the palate, the delicate mousse and crisp acidity lead into flavors of green apple and a delicate toastiness, with a long, citrusy finish.
Occasion
This wine pairs beautifully with fresh seafood like Dungeness crab, shrimp, or oysters—or with fresh goat cheese on crostini. It’s also a lovely aperitif to start a special evening.
