Aromas of toasted bread and roasted macadamias are complemented by golden apples, bright citrus and hints of peach and baking spice. On the palate, this wine shows a blend of pleasant citrus and oak spice, with a hint of vanilla and toasted marshmallow. The frothy attack leads into a creamy midpalate with a long and smooth finish.
We pick Chardonnay and Pinot Gris grapes by hand during the cool morning hours and ferment individual vineyard lots separately at cool temperatures to preserve freshness and fruit intensity.
This wine makes a lovely apertif. pair it with potato chips topped with crème fraiche and a bit of lightly smoked fish such as trout or sturgeon. It would also pair nicely with a classic roast chicken with lemon and herbs.
